Translation Services

If you need translation or interpretation support, there are a number of options:

Our website can be translated using the Google Translate bar in the top right corner of every page. Choose from over 100 languages. The City's Facebook Page can also be translated using Facebook's translation services.

The AIMGA website is a great resource in many languages for all things COVID related.

Brooks & County Immigration Services (BCIS) provides information, support and referrals to all newcomers in Brooks. They also provide interpretation and translation for individuals and community organizations. SPEC HELP LINE is available by Phone or Text to 403-376-1926 and is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. They provide information, support and referrals to services and programs.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) information sheets on social distancing and social isolation have been recorded by the Centre for Newcomers. These are available on CFN's YouTube channel.

Global Village Centre is providing COVID-19 Multi-language Preventative Health and Community Health Safety Messaging to residents through a variety of methods. Global Village has been working with Stingray Radio to do multi-language oral messaging and Shaw TV.
