Brooks – The City of Brooks would like to announce that Brooks Industrial Metals (BIM) has generously donated $37,500 to sponsor a large viewing area in a new space of the Lakeside Leisure Centre. Located on the second level of the facility between the new fieldhouse and the curling rink, the space will be a high profile area in the new facility. The viewing area will be popular among spectators for the fieldhouse and curling rink viewing. The space can also be used for a variety of special events and programming.
The donation of $37,500 is made up of a $20,000 cash donation and $17,500 of in-kind work for various signage and material.
“The City had been working with BIM on a couple of other projects and through that process, they learned of the sponsorship opportunities available and made the decision to sponsor the viewing area.” says Randi McPhillips. “We are ecstatic to have a local company sponsor this area of our new building.”
