A Certificate of Compliance (also known as a Compliance Letter) is confirmation from the City that all buildings and structures identified on the property have met the regulations under the Land Use Bylaw. This may include, but is not limited to, approved use, setbacks, development permits and development permits.
The requirement for a Certificate of Compliance is imposed by a lending agency and not by the City. The City has been responding to these type of requests as efficiently as possible, to provide assistance in the completion of real estate transactions.
To obtain a certificate of compliance, submit a written application and pay the prescribed fee.
Applications can be dropped off between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at:
City of Brooks
201 - 1 Avenue West
Brooks, Alberta
The fee for a Certificate of Compliance is $75.00
