Recreation Service Fee Increase

2021 Recreaton Rates Fees

Brooks – The City of Brooks would like to inform residents about an upcoming increase to rates and fees for Recreation Services.

The 2.75% scheduled increase for 2021/2022 will be implemented August 1st for most rates and fees in place for Recreation Services. This increase affects recreation service fees such as admissions, memberships, facility rentals and aquatics programs after the August 1st date.

Similar municipalities and facilities in Alberta were surveyed to compare rates and fees to ensure Brooks is at or below average cost in most instances. There was no increase to any recreation rates and fees in 2020/21.

The City of Brooks would like to thank those who utilize and enjoy our facilities for their continued patronage and support and would also like to welcome any new patrons who have not used the facilities before. The City of Brooks is the proud home of state-of-the-art recreation facilities such as the JBS Canada Centre and the Centennial Regional Arena. Providing first-rate recreation facilities services is important to City Council as it improves quality of life for residents, while attracting visitors and tourists.
