Property Tax & Assessment Notice

Property Tax and Assessment Notice

Combined Assessment and Tax notices were mailed on May 19, 2023; therefore, all assessed persons are deemed to have received them 7 days later. Taxes are due June 30, 2023 to avoid a penalty. If you have not received your combined notice and assessment in the mail, please contact our Tax Department, at 403-362-3333 or

ATTENTION NEW PROPERTY OWNERS: The Alberta Land Titles office is experiencing a backlog and new property owners may not be listed on our tax roll. If you have purchased a property located in the City of Brooks in the last six months and you do not receive your 2023 combined notice and assessment, please contact our Tax Department to obtain a copy. Non-receipt of your property tax bill does not exempt you from late payment penalties.

Tax Payers can view their tax accounts through My Brooks Online Services:

The City of Brooks is now accepting online property tax payments with select credit cards through the secure OptionPay system (with applicable third-party fees).  Payments for property taxes may be paid by credit card online now in addition to the previously offered option to pay directly through internet banking.  For information about payment methods, visit:

Any assessed person wishing to file an assessment complaint must do so on or before 4:30 p.m. on July 28, 2023. Assessment complaints must be received in writing by the Clerk of the Assessment Review Board. Please review the assessment complaint process as posted at prior to considering filing a complaint.
