In an effort to help residents attain affordable housing, City Administration is working with a consultant to perform a housing study that will assess current needs and create a strategy to accomplish this task.
Residents can give their input through an online survey and/or Open House. The survey will launch on September 21 on https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/brookshousingstudy and residents can answer questions in regards to their current housing situation and any barriers they currently face or have faced. All information provided will be confidential. If residents are unable to access a computer to complete the survey, paper copies will be available at City Hall. City staff are able to assist with online completion as well.
The Open House will be held on October 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the City Hall foyer and will provide information so that residents can provide informed feedback that will be taken into consideration during the creation of the strategy. Representatives from the housing organizations, the consultant, City staff and information regarding housing supports will be available.
